f.r.i.e.n.d.s

two things.

one.
you know, when you haven't been talking to your friend, and that friend suddenly calls you, even if it's about something as trivial as telling you about an article in a girl's magazine, it's just... wow... it's an indescribable feeling but it makes your day. really.

that happened to me today.

two.
the thing about facebook is, you can easily find out what's happening to your friends through photos and wall comments posted, and that can be good or bad. good in that you can easily share photos after an awesome party you had. bad in that you may realize that certain groups of friends (or so you thought) are going out on a regular basis without you.

that happened to me today.

friends, are very special people. to me, at least. and i've come to know, so many people go through all sorts of emotional ups and downs all the time. everyone before 20 has "went through so much". but life's only just begun!

Friend (frěnd)
- noun.
  1. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.
  2. A person whom one knows; an acquaintance.
  3. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.
  4. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement: friends of the clean air movement.
many times, people experience or go through phases where they feel their friendship comes under strain. or people feel their friendship have been 'betrayed'. but to look at it objectively, perhaps, people have misunderstood or misinterpreted the meaning of a friend. but, looking at the definition of friend, it could very well be a one-sided relationship, because there is no obligation for who a person considers a friend to reciprocate that likeness, trust or alliance.

funny, isn't it? your friend may not consider you a friend at all.

and just how innocent but true little kids are when they go "hmph! i don't friend you!" because, exactly as the definition of friend is, you are the one deciding who is your friend, not the other way round.
